etsy, et al.

I’m still working on the new theme for the blog. How do you like the pink? I was in the mood for something a little sweet…

Also, I’ve reopened my Etsy shop. I still don’t know whether I’m better off having my own shop or going with Etsy; so for the moment, I think I’ll just have both!

change agent

Hi, all.  I’ve got a hankering to change up the shop and I’ll be working on it all day.  Feel free to visit, but pardon my dust…

Look for new items, too!

is it fun before work, …or… the other way around?

2007-jun-15-030_edited-1.jpg

We had a fun weekend - Friday night and Saturday at Seaside with some family; and Sunday was Father’s Day and my Mother-In-Law’s birthday. The only problem with that plan is that I have to make a lot of items before Wednesday afternoon! I did it backwards - see you soon!

beautiful machines

bmachinesgroup1.jpg

The inspiration for this group (& there’s more to it…) came from some thoughts I was having about machines, devices, whatnot that I appreciate for both their function and form. These are things that are important to me for various and sundry reasons. Some are necessary; some, not so much.

What are your beautiful machines?

p.s. These necklaces will be in the shop tomorrow morning.

going to the birds

swallowssmallamethystfront2.jpg swallowssmallamethystback2.jpg

I’ve added three new bird necklaces to the shop today.

If you are sensing a theme, you would be right.  Spring has me thinking about the birds and the bees and the flowers in the fields and birth and rebirth and growth and…

More to come…

“you don’t have to be a weatherman to know which way the wind blows”

weathervane.jpg  a little bit of fun and nonsense for your Thursday pleasure…  also, a reminder that I’m still here.  New items (plural) will absolutely be in the shop early next week.  I just made a bunch of great pieces with the intention of listing them in the shop, but my wholesale account bought them all!  hurrah! bummer! no, hurrah!  I suppose it all depends how I look at it… or which way the wind blows.

click on the photo if you need a weathervane;)

open for business!

351840_antique_cash_register.jpg  I’m very excited because the shop is open today!  Everything should be working.  Please let me know if something doesn’t.  Also, please feel free to let me know if you find any outrageous typos or anything like that.  I’ve been working long, long hours and I know my concentration was a little shot there at the end there so I can use any feedback you care to give.

On the other hand,  for all you tech people out there, I already know that my shop and blog pages do not match!  Thank you for your concerns but I have decided to let that go for now.  I will be fixing it (soon) but I’ve already been more immersed in code than I ever thought I would be in my life so I have decided that I can live with things the way they are for now.  Functional is dandy!

Robert Schuller said, “Better to do something imperfectly than to do nothing flawlessly.”  As a recovering (hah!) perfectionist, I’m trying to make that my motto.
